the sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blogs for the week ahead.

It is has been a pretty great week. The weather here has been nice and the kids have enjoyed being able to go out and play. Now my house is over run with kids that live around us. My husband has been waiting for his new Semi to be ready and they called yesterday and he went to pick it up and it is amazing. Okay, so I am a little excited. lol I have learned in the past week what food tastes like without salt and some aren’t meant to not have some, but I guess that defeats the whole purpose of my new medicine. Anyhoo, I got some reading done, and set up the new computer. Windows 8 is definitely different than Windows 7. I like it so far. I received a few new books. But that’s about it. How about you?

Wow-you got some great books this week! I also have Tumble & Fall and This Song Will Save Your Life with Brooklyn Girls being of interest.

Sucks about salt but you’ll figure it out! We’ve had to cut back on our salt consumption and I haven’t noticed it in all foods…

My husband isn’t supposed to eat salt and I love it, so I cook without it and then salt my food like crazy. But I think once you get used to the taste, it will be fine. I gave up sugar in my tea and at first I thought I couldn’t stand it and now I don’t even remember what sugary tea tastes like.
So excited that you’ll come to BEA next year.

Great haul this week, too! I need to go check out your Cora Carmack review. I just received Faking It in the mail this week, but I haven’t read Losing It yet.

I have high blood pressure, and they monitoring it very closely for the time being because it’s so high. So no salt for me. :( I have ways to make foods taste better without it, that I’m allowed to have.

It is definitely different, but it has some great apps and things that I like. :) Thanks for stopping by. :)

I cut back on salt a while ago and started to find that the less you eat, the less you want. So at first things taste kinda bland, but after a while you won’t even want to eat very salty things. Hope the low salt diet helps anyway, and that you feel better soon! :-)

Great books this week! I really want to read Tumble & Fall, hope you enjoy it! :-D And have a wonderful week!
