This is a feature I like to do every Friday spotlighting a book, one that I will be reading over the weekend.
This weekend I’ll start Dance of Shadows. I am really excited to start it. It was a WoW pick for me a while back.
Dance of Shadows (Dance of Shadows #1) by Yelena Black
Expected publication: February 12th 2013 by Bloomsbury USA Children’s Books
Dancing with someone is an act of trust. Elegant and intimate; you’re close enough to kiss, close enough to feel your partner’s heartbeat. But for Vanessa, dance is deadly – and she must be very careful who she trusts . . . Vanessa Adler attends an elite ballet school – the same one her older sister, Margaret, attended before she disappeared. Vanessa feels she can never live up to her sister’s shining reputation. But Vanessa, with her glorious red hair and fair skin, has a kind of power when she dances – she loses herself in the music, breathes different air, and the world around her turns to flames . . . Soon she attracts the attention of three men: gorgeous Zep, mysterious Justin, and the great, enigmatic choreographer Josef Zhalkovsky. When Josef asks Vanessa to dance the lead in the Firebird, she has little idea of the danger that lies ahead – and the burning forces about to be unleashed . .
This has one of the most beautiful covers. I took ballet for 12 years, so it really caught my attention. What will you be reading this weekend?

I have my eye on this book. the Cover is amazing.
I will have to buy a finished copy, just so I can look at the beautiful cover.
I actually read this book last weekend-hope you love it! It will be interesting to know your thoughts since you studied ballet. I just like reading books about it. Happy weekend!
I love this one too – I think it was one of my WoWs too! I have to start it soon and I totally agree with you, this is one I want a hardback of. That’s really great that you took ballet for so long (says the big klutz).
Oooooh looks good! I’m reading Soulless by Gail Carriger. It’s my first steam punk book.
