What’s Next #34 Hidden Gates by D.T. Dyllin, Dark Promise by Julia Crane & Talia Jager or Deep Betrayal by Anne Greenwood Brown
What’s Next? is a weekly meme hosted by Icey Books. Every Thursday, select 3-5 books (not too many, not too little!) that you want to read but can’t decide which one to read first. Post the cover, and if you want, the synopsis or even a random line from the book, for each of your selections. At the end of your post, ask readers to vote on which one you should read next! Even if you don’t end up reading your readers’ top choice, you’ll know what the majority is excited for.
This week I have three for you to help me choose from.
Hidden Gates (P.J. Stone Gates Trilogy #1) by D.T. Dyllin
Expected publication: February 28th 2013 by Dragonfairy Press
For P.J. Stone, being a “Seer” who has never seen anything is less than fun. And P.J. isn’t known for her patience. To make matters worse, she must choose a suitable mate to continue the Seer bloodline. Duty always comes before her heart…at least that’s what her parents taught her. When she finds herself wanting someone who is considered off-limits, P.J. is forced to question everything she believes. As if navigating her love life isn’t complicated enough, P.J. finally receives a vision—of a threat to her world that only she can perceive. But no one will believe a fledgling Seer’s warnings. With nowhere else to turn, she may decide to trust a stranger with her life, her world, and maybe even her heart.
Dark Promise (Between Worlds #1) by Julia Crane & Talia Jager Published July 28th 2012 by Valknut Press, LLC
Rylie has it all – great friends, dream boy, loving family. But on the eve of her sixteenth birthday, her perfect little world shatters. A stranger claiming to be her real mother appears with a secret: Rylie is a faery whose powers will be unleashed on her birthday. Captured and forced into a new life, Rylie struggles to keep everything she loves and discovers a terrifying truth: some promises cannot be broken.
Deep Betrayal (Lies Beneath #2) by Anne Greenwood Brown Expected publication: March 12th 2013 by Random House/ Delacorte
Once you dive into Deep Betrayal, the sequel to Lies Beneath, you won’t come up for air! It’s been thirty days, two hours, and seventeen minutes since Calder left Lily standing on the shores of Lake Superior. Not that she’s counting. And when Calder does return, it’s not quite the reunion Lily hoped for. Especially after she lets her father in on a huge secret: he, like Calder, is a merman. Obsessed with his new identity, Lily’s dad monopolizes Calder’s time as the two of them spend every day in the water, leaving Lily behind. Then dead bodies start washing ashore. Calder blames his mermaid sisters, but Lily fears her father has embraced the merman’s natural need to kill. As the body count grows, everyone is pointing fingers. Lily doesn’t know what to believe—only that whoever’s responsible is sure to strike again. . . .
What do think I should pick up next? Happy Reading…

Deep Betrayal looks the best to me (I assume you’ve read the first book, right?)
Yep. Read it and loved it.
Deep Betrayal, it’s good to read sequels (for me, I just start reading so many new books that I never finish much series).
I’m voting for Deep Betrayal it looks pretty good
Thanks for voting…
Lots of interesting choices! I think I’d pick Hidden Gates!
