The Sunday Post #37

Posted by Jenea in Just Talking, The Sunday Post / 24 Comments

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blogs for the week ahead.

This has been a pretty good week. Everybody is getting back to normal after all the days of snow and not being able to leave the house, and no school. I purchased an iPad Mini so that it is easier to read the ebooks. I absolutely love it. I can read without having to have my phone up right in front of my face. :) My son’s 12th Birthday is today. I am trying to figure out where all the time has went. He’s a great kid so I couldn’t ask for anything more.

Blogwise, it was a nice week. Not too busy. I didn’t get a bunch of reading done. I read all 3 of the House of Night Novella’s, and I finished Death, Doom and Detention and Shadowlands. I will be starting The Midnight Spell and Frost Fire later today. I recv’d some books for review.

I’m really excited about Linked and Ashes and Ice. Haven’t read Neferet’s Curse yet. Interested to see what think. And we got tons of snow, too, but since it’s Wisconsin, we’re used to it and didn’t get to stay home. :( Hope you enjoy your haul. :)

Ooh Poison! I have that on my to-read list-it looks adorable! So happy to live on the West Coast with no snow-I used to live in Pennsylvania and do not miss shoveling my way out.

Where in the world is Death, Doom and Detention? I haven’t been downloading galleys so if it was out there I missed it. But I’m kind of thinking I want to read it now… oh well.

Awesome haul on books and enjoy your mini iPad!!! It is amazing to move from your phone to the iPad, right?!?!?!? I did the same thing and shook my head at my hubs for still reading on his phone for so long!!!

Happy Birthday to your son!!! Have a great day with him!!!

Oh wow… iPad Mini :) I’m excited that you’re loving it!

I like the covers of Impossibility of Tomorrow and Linked. Thanks for sharing what you’ve got.

Enjoy your books and have a lovely week!

Ooo an iPad! I hope you enjoy it and happy birthday to your son! The Murmurings sounds really good, I’ll be on the lookout for your thoughts on it. :) Thanks for stopping by and I hope you and your son have an awesome day.

Yay for no school and the ipad. Nice haul. I just finished The Murmurings, and, well, now I’m in a reading slump. lol. Hope you have better luck with it.

Enjoy your iPad! Now we’re the ones snowbound. We had 31 inches of snow…it’s crazy. They haven’t even plowed our street yet.

Hope you have a great week!

I’ve been reading using my iphone for a while now, but finally got my hands on a Kindle haha, the bigger text is definitely nice on the eyes ;)
Great haul this week! Linked sounds awesome, can’t wait for that,

Thanks for stopping by Bookmunchies (:

Congratulations to your son on his birthday! And to you on your new iPad Mini! New toys are always fun, whatever your age. ;-)

The Impossibility of Tomorrow is a great title — makes me wonder what the book is about. I’ll have to go look it up on Goodreads!

Thanks for stopping by The Bookwyrm’s Hoard earlier today!
