The Sunday Post #41

Posted by Jenea in Just Talking, The Sunday Post / 34 Comments

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blogs for the week ahead.

It’s been a pretty good week. Kids were home for most of it, snow days. We drank hot cocoa, and played Dance Central. Got some reading done, and found some for my daughter too. I finished Escape Theory, Altered, Chosen Ones, Going Vintage, and Mortality. Right now I am read Period 8 and Pretty Girl-13. Next week I’ll be reading Fraction of Stone for an upcoming tour, and Life After Theft. I got some books for review, and won some too. I did visit Amazon this week. *hangs head* Couldn’t help it. :)

There are a few giveaways still going on too.

Looks like a great week ahead! And wow, you got lots of books! I don’t do a post featuring what I get but I’m thinking it was 3 books this week. I think I’m pretty happy with that. Oh nevermind, I went to signing and got 2 so I guess I got 5. Yep, TBR isn’t shrinking any! Oh well, at least we have plenty to read!

My TBR is a mountain. lol.. I don’t watch much T.V. so I read more than anything. :)

Wow-you won a lot of books this week as well as getting some cool ones for review. I’m very interested in Period 8 as I love Chris Crutcher and The Heiresses which looks maybe kind of gossipy in the best way.

I’ll be especially looking forward to your review of Escape Theory as I’m planning to read that too.

  3. Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard

Wow, you had a busy week, and what a great haul! I need to bookmark your review of The Sweetest Dark to read once I’ve had a chance to read and review the book (hopefully this week or early next week.)

Thank you for stopping by my Sunday Post earlier! Looks like we both have college-age daughters — another point in common!

  4. Harley Bear (@HarleyBearBooks)

Sounds like you had a fun week. Idk about where you live, but here they were freaking out about the snow and then we hardly got any! lol. I’m excited to see what you think about some of the New Adult titles you got. Thanks for stopping by today.

I didn’t relize there was going to be a fourth Nightshade book. I don’t think I want to read the fourth one, only because I felt the story ended and to continue it would be dragging it on too much for me.

  6. inlibrisveritas

Wow, you won some awesome books this week! It sounds like you had a pretty great week and got some major reading done. I’ve heard a lot of great buzz around Eleanor and Park. I hope you enjoy all your new books and you week Jenea!

  7. Alise (Readers in Wonderland)

I love your review books for this week! All of them sound so good! Can’t wait to see your reviews on them! Happy reading!

Snow days in March? Ugh, will winter ever let up? It was a nice week here in Portland, well a couple of rainy days and a couple of sunny so can’t complain. I am curious about that Period 8 book I was checking it out when I was putting together a Friday Forecast. Have a great week!

  9. theobsessivereader

You won Wait for You AND Fallen too Far AND Never too Far? OMG how lucky can you get? ;-) great haul! I hope you enjoy your books, and thanks for stopping by my blog.

  10. Ink and Page

I love it when I see so many books that I have never heard of! I dread it, too…that means my TBR list (which I am trying to get under control) will be overflowing again. I think I will wait to see your reviews before adding, maybe?

Have a great week! Here’s my TSP

  11. Vicky Hooper

Ooh you won a lot of books! Congrats! :-D Some really interesting looking review books there. The cover of Eleanor and Park is so cute! :-)
Hope you enjoy them and have a great week!
